I got a new stereo (Pioneer FH-X700BT) for the car (Ford Freestyle) & I got the wiring adapter to fit it in my Ford. I wired it up and tested it (without completing the physical install) and it worked for 30-40 seconds and then the lights went off and it stopped working. I think one of the unused wires may have touched part of the exposes metal of the frame of the car. I put back in the old Ford Factory stereo which was working but now just the clock works and the radio will not come on. I know there is a constant power for the clock and the secondary power for the radio so I changed the 2 fuses listed in the manual for the car but that did not resolve anything. Then I put back in the new stereo after replacing the fuse in it and still nothing.
