install new H/u in 2004 suburban?

So the stock cd player in my dads suburban is ****ed up.

I want to put in a new pioneer or kenwood head unit but i have a question.

Will i be able to run the bose sound system off of a new head unit? Cuz i know there is like a bose amp to run the speakers....will this create any problems?

I know these are kinda dumb questions but i dont want to **** up my dads car. Thanks.

Or you could bypass the amp but SO much easier to get the harness. Do you have onstar? If you want to keep the onstar it is a different harness and it is actually cheaper too:
