Install in a 02 Nissan Murano w/ factory Bose

I have a friend that wants to put a couple subs in his Murano but he wants to keep the Bose so a new head unit is not an option. These vehicles have factory subs so could anyone tell me if I can just take the signal from the factory sub's speaker wires into the line out converter then just to the amp? I don't really do many factory system installs so this one is new to me.

You can use the converter to grab the signal from the factory sub connection . Fyi most Nissans with bose has a separate amplifier built into the housing of each speaker so adding a aftermarket hu will not effect anything you will just have a extra remote turn on lead to hook up

I was referring to the aftermarket HU just for the whole RCA dilemma, but where is the amp for the factory sub? If I'm taking the signal after the amp then I need to know how much power it puts out so I can get the right line out converter.

i dont know where the factory amp is located on those. May have to start at the sub and trace. I imagine the sub wont be seeing more than 75 watts prob less around 50. the wattage should be stamped on the back of the sub. Id look at getting a converter from pac or a line driver with hi/low
