I never realised the install can make such a difference. One of my friends has 2 "momo" 15's powered by a california 1000 watt amp and his shiit sounds like complete ***, he was amazed when he heard my single RF punch stage 1 12 running off 150 watts blow his system out the water his jaw nearly hit the floor when i told him i had 1 12, i still find it hard to believe my crappy system blew away his 2 15's... he's suppose to be coming back over this weekend during the day so i can look over his system and adjust everything, he's also selling me his 2 month old directed 400 watt amp for $20 for helping with his system

What do you guys consider the most important aspects of an install?

Installation of everything plays a small role in the overall quality of the sound and reliablity

Location of installation is most important to component speakers.

Head units need to be away from heat.

Amps need good open air cooling.

Subs need to be located in a position without cancelation

basicly - he prolly wired the subs to some rediclious impedance (read: 8ohms prolly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif ) and his box is prolly too small, and sealed, aside from not having enough power (ca1000 2 channel?) to begin with.

build him a nice ported box, not really a wiring option (SVC4 im guessing, with a 2 channel amp) so 150ish watts a piece.

Install is very important. I changed boxes and gained 3 dbs.
