Inside my IA20.1

I have a very bad habit of buying stuff and not using it right away.

When I first started purchasing stuff from the net I'd bench test it as soon as I received it.

WELL this is one I didn't test or bother to look inside of because I bought it from a reputable well known person.

I never used it. I was about to sell it but something inside me said look inside the amp this is what I found.

I did not try powering it up but from the looks of things it dose not look good.

Some of the pics aren't that clear, you can super size them here

Nall I didn't get that smoked smell or at least it wasn't real heavy when I first got the amp.

Funny thing,

I can remember is when I was asking the seller questions about this amp other forum members started giving me sh!t, saying I must be a noob because of the questions I was asking him. Like I shouldn't ask him question becasue he was who he is, like how dare you ask this guy question like, this that and etc.....

The pics are too small and cardomain is down for me at the moment, but just because it smells burned it may not be.

My sundown 3K smells burnt, but that's because it was burnt and repaired, the smell seems to linger for a while though. Smells can be deceiving, as my amp is working 100% and better then it ever has //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Yeah I thought hey it might still work!

But from the guy I bought it from, I don't see him NOT noticing this when I asked him about the amp. And trust me I'm sure he looked inside.

The board is pretty burnt.

the seller may have modified the amp, it may have been a refurb he got from Nick, could be a number of things, who cares about the burnt smell, you haven't even tested it to see if its a problem. Before posting it up on here you probably should test it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

edit also competitors run equipment hard, components can partially fail and the owner of ti never know it, unless they open it up.

i agree....but me not knowing who he bought it from made me worry.

If I power it up and it dosen't work then what?

It's my fault because of my mistakes?

And again I asked questions before I purchased this amp. I can't see YOU buying this amp and not being pissed becuase you were not let known of the amps condition.

When I buy and sell refurber amps I let everyone know it is REFURBED and not new. Dig me.

It's your fault that you didn't test it right when you got it, who is to say you didn't hook it up sometime between when you bought it and now and blew it? Not saying you did or you didn't, but I know if somebody came to me a couple months after I sold them a amp and they said its blown and wanted me to pay for it I would laugh at them.

And I didn't say it was refurbed, I'm saying it could be a number of things, including a refurb or a modified amp. Who knows, maybe the torrid was partially blown before you got it and the seller didn't know, maybe you blew it and wanted to pawn the blame off. Who knows.
