Or what if someone took car speakers and put them in *gasp* the home? I mean all those 8-ohm DIY speakers being used in the car instead of in the home where they were meant for uke:

I bet it would only get like .0005 excursion and would sound horrible.

The manufacturers should really put huge warnings saying this is meant for home (or car) use, any other use will only result in the brown note. You have been warned.

well your assuming he is referring to raw drivers and i am assuming he is referring to premade monitors

of course if you took raw drivers and made a well designed enclosure designed for them they would sound ok no matter where you installed them

slapping a premade studio monitor in a van isnt going to sound good IMO, but you think what you want to
