insane power, how can I get this to work

this is probably a question unlike most others. I am a turntable DJ and I have several professional club amplifiers handy. What I would like to do is move this encased portable power source into my car so I can push an insane amount of power. Currently I have four amps totalling easily 8000 true watts, a crossover, and sonic maximizer. If I ran a power converter which plugs into the cigarette lighter-- and that would connect to a power surge strip -- so I can plug everything else into the surge protector, what would I need to do to make sure that I am getting enough power to these amps?

Is this even possible??

but if you were determined too use pro audio amps then you would need to buy some badass inverters

I really dont think you can get enough power out of a cigarette lighter to power 8000 watts....haha

1) You would have to find some MASSIVE power inverters.

2) Your cigarette lighter has NOWHERE near the right size wire to supply that amount of current. One of two things will happen: Either you will burn up the wiring and start a fire or you will pop the fuse (which hopefully the cigarette lighter has).

The ONLY, and I mean ONLY, way this could possibly work is for you to run several runs of 0 gauge wire straight from your batteries (hopefully you have more than 1 if you plan on running all this equipmen) straight to some friggin ginormous power inverters. It takes power to make power.

For the cost of the power inverters necessary for such a ridiculous idea, you could probably just buy a couple 3000+ watt CAR amplifiers.

22awg can easily handle 8000 watts of power running through it

firstly, you'll need around 12,000watts worth of inverters... maybe more depending on if they are class AB, or class D amps...

now, to run the inverters, you'll need 1000amps worth of power cable, more is always better, so 6 runs of 0ga cable for positive and negative should be good...

12 batteries will be a must if you plan on actually getting full power for more than about 30 seconds, but the five 200amp alternators shouldn't have too much problem keeping them charged //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Haha yeah you cant get power from no where, Youll only get as much power as

A) your alt/ batt combination can sustain and

B) the RMS power of the inverters required to run those amps

cig lighter maybe 200 watts.
