inputs and outputs on amps?

So amps that have an input for RCA's and output means that you only have to run the rca's once from HU to amp and then use the output on one amp to the input on another amp? If this is true is it still true for an amp that would be playing the front sound stage and linked to an amp that would be playing the sub frequencies? I guess what i really want to know is if I already have a power cord, remote, and rca's run but want to add another amp do I have to run more lines or can I just run everything from one amp to the other?

Depending on some things, yes.

Depends. #1, the RCA outputs would have to be "pass-through" outputs (not affected by the on-board processing of the amp). #2, both amps would need to have crossovers built into them, so that you could highpass the front stage and lowpass the sub.

I guess what i really want to know is if I already have a power cord, remote, and rca's run but want to add another amp do I have to run more lines or can I just run everything from one amp to the other?
Well, you have to get a fused distro block to run a power wire to each amp. You'd also have to ground the "new" amp to the chassis. You should be able to just splice the REM output to run a wire to the "new" amp. And, if everything I wrote above works out for you, then you could just "daisy-chain" the RCA's to run to both amps.

thanks for the reply I found the answer about the distribution block but I was still unaware about the RCA's so I will look into that. Thanks again.
