If your head unit has rca outputs you can use the low-input connectors on the amp. But if your head unit only has speaker leads coming out of it, you have to use the hi-input wires unless you get a rca convertor(not sure of the name of the thing!) that you connect to your h u wires and run the lo inputs off of the amp to the rca plugs.
