Input needed on SQ sub

I was looking on JL's site and the recommended sealed box for a 10W3V3 is 18.0 in. x 11.0 in. x 9.0 in. So if I could manage 11 inches wide wouldn't I be ok with a 10?

if you have 11 inches it should work.
Ok, thats good to know...

I'm down to 2 subs. The Image Dynamics ID10D2 V.3 for $130 or the JL Audio 10W3v3 for $190. Is one better than the other in any way at all?

After checking one more measurement I cant fit a box for a 10 so it looks like an 8 is my way to go.

Do they make that sub in an 8in? I couldnt find it.

However I did look up the SoundSplinter Lr-i8 and it seems like a pretty tough looking sub for an 8. Any thoughts on that sub?
