Info needed 1975 Pioneer components

HI,

Thanx for your help in advance. I am researching a auto restoration. It came with Pioneer TS-168 three way speakers in the doors. The in dash unit is unknown. I am aware that these were NOT the factory components. But, they are significant to my research.

Here are my questions.

Were TS-168's available in 1975?

If so, how near the top of the line where they?

What was the most likely car stereo to have been mated with those Pioneer speakers back in the day?
