¤- Box for new subs.

I am confused on this subject...

Enclosure sizes for subs are always between two numbers. For example, I just purchased two Kicker CVR's and the recommended sealed enclosure size is 1.8 to 5.2 cubic feet for each subwoofer. What would the difference be if I made it 1.8 cu feet (per sub) compared to 5.2 cu feet (per sub). Would it hit harder with a bigger box or what is going on with that?

Are you sure???? Cuz I got the whole trunk of my suv to work with and I could easily double the recomended air space.

If I did make a large box I am thinking of going with 18" height x 24" depth x 48" width. This isn't to much over the recomended box size but I have never made a box this big and I am guessing that I would need a lot of support on the inside to reduce flexing. Am I right?

So what would having a bigger box do? Just make it louder? Do smaller boxes have better sq?
