Infinity Speaker wiring question

I just took a closer look at my Infinity(Reference 3-way 6x9) speakers and noticed that it has three prongs for wiring. It looks like one negative and two positive posts. The second positive looks like it has a small crossover attached to it and it has another, blue, wire coming off of it. What are these for? When I installed them, I just plugged the wiring harness in and neg. to neg, pos. to pos. and I was done. Now I'm going to be adding an Amp to these speakers.

So, what's the story with the third post? Should I be using it somehow?

from my view of the situation, its a used for signal stabalizing. I only say that because on an oscilliscope (o-scope is used to measure freq) you can plug a third cord into another channel on the front to stabilize the signal. basically for you it's used to help if you get distortion. u can ground that post to the neg side and equalize the speakers output. That's the best guess I can come up with.

I have the Reference 6.5 comps. Mine also has a second postive. My manual says it is for the tweet. (Basically the tweet has 2+'s) This other + is so I can reduce the tweet -3dB. Could be the same for you. I say take a listen with one side hooked up, then swing it over to the other side and see if there is any change in sound.
