independence rise?

box tuning and the subs copper coil moving inside the magnetic gap changes the resistance usualy big boxes have less imp rise than smaller boxes this is why you see 1-2 cf boxes with a pair of 5k amps strapped @ .125 or something crazy bigger boxes have actual resistances only about x2-x3 more than the sub actualy reads this is why your 1000w ---?????----amp doesnt do 1kw only about 300 to 600 real power

Impedance rise is due to resonance points in the subwoofer and enclosure system. It varies with frequency and is unavoidable except for in properly designed and stuffed transmission lines.

It's nothing to worry about for daily musical systems and can cause less strain on the amplifier at these points. The peak impedance points will occur at system resonances and so not much power is needed to have high output.

Impedance rise alone isn't stating too much as there are many things that could be referring to. Impedance rises with frequency due to the inductance of the driver, then this impedance rise varies based on position of the coil and how much of the steel pole is inside the coil at a given position. Impedance rises as temperature increases due to heating of the VC. This is known as power compression. You also have impedance peaks based on the enclosure. A sealed enclosure has one peak at Fc, and a vented enclosure has 2 peaks with the dip in the middle being equal to the tuning frequency.

The first 2 are serious issues to deal with. The inductive rise not only makes the impedance rise, gut is a huge contributor to distortion. Power compression is another big contributor to distortion and loss of output. A good woofer will do something to address these issues, but 99% of woofers out there don't.
