Incriminator DP15 vs Sundown Zv3 15

So just curious what you think. I was thinking of trading the IA DP 15 for a Sundown zv3 15(sort of, it has a different basket TC i believe so the sub is custom built, with PSI softies).

I know trading a 15 for a 15 is Meh, but the Zv3 is rated a little lower and i think it will perform a little better for me given my power i have(sub might see 15-1700 after rise and the IA is rated higher rms wise. Also the Zv3 is a dual 1 i believe so i can wire to .5 were my amp is rated and get a little more power.

Thoughts?

Im going to redo the box regardless lol.... I would like sub up port back. I can do it and fit it with a 15. i was just looking at opinions. ill probably just keep. IA is more of a rarity then sundown. Everybody has sundown lol

in all honestly with the box its in it does really well. The box right now is sub up port up and i want sub up port back and will build one eventually. I would really like to meter it the way it sits. I just got it hooked up this morning. Started on it last night but it being a Kia it was a difficult install.

But i will say it sounds good and loud. I made the post before i had it playing. The DP is a Amazing sub. I love it. Sounds really good in this little suv. I would love to try a 18 in here though lol...

If you switch woofers and wire lower most likely it's going to be louder... Every time I wired lower I would gain 1-3db

I dont think i would gain much in that aspect. Id only be going from .7 down to .5.

Instead of trading all the time and asking which is better keep building boxes tell you get what you want. You could try a adjustable aero port. I would also try e-mailing Nick at ia and see what he recommends for your given goals. No-one knows then better then who builds them. Ia does loads of testing. I spoke several times when I was looking at the dps.

this is old i know. My reason for trading is like trying different equipment. I usually dont keep equipment long then a month, then i trade off for something. I did try emailing but got no reply but its really no big deal. I rebuilt a box and it sounds really good now, but still seems like its lacking on the power end and i think thats coming down to me really underpowering the sub. Its rated 2k and probably only sees maybe 1500 on a good day with a cold alternator lol

how much excursion are you getting, is the sub even getting warm? pretty sure its a 3 inch coil so 3kw rms is what id clamp to it absolutely max
