SSA Xcon 12 vs Soundquebed HDS312

I am looking at those 2 subs, and am trying to figure out what I want. I only have room for 1 12, and nothing larger, since I plan on getting a large box for the sub. I am looking around 1k to 1250 watts since I am on stock alternator and battery( no Big 3 yet, since my current set up is only 500 watts RMS, in a poor pre fab) Also the Big 3 in the 2004-2008 TSX is a bit of a pain for the alternator to battery if you go larger than 4 awg. Any suggestions on what 12 inch sub would be best? Any ones I should look at? And also, what amp? I need a hi level input on the amp though, or I will be using a LOC.

Xcon over the hds312 in every way. In the power you are going to use I'd look at the icon.

this shouldnt even be a question. Xcon all day any day.

No amp with high levels will get that kind of power. DD has one but it tops out at 1000

Dang it, alright. Well, should I aim lower then on the wattage then? I really don't want to run into LOC problems. I have a 2004 acura tsx, and it requires a few modifications to get a new HU in

You can buy an loc for like $10 on Amazon and use it for any amp no matter the power. I've ran a fsd 2.6k and audiopipe 3k on a loc with no issues. Was only $10 pac on from Amazon.

still no contest between the woofers. Icon is vastly superior still. I'd put the HDS300 around the Gcon level in terms of performance. RMS is not the only thing you look at bro.

I agreed with you, and said I know. I said I am only looking for options at that RMS, so the price of the amp will be the same for any sub I go for.
