in the market for a new amp

Onlinecarstereo.com has a Soundstream REF1.1000 for under $300. These subwoofer amplifiers are as clean as it gets. The only issue is that being Class G, they're not the most compact. It's slightly underrated and has the best THD performance profile in class. Here is THD vs watt plot using 12.5V battery power:

However, if you want to spend less, consider PPI P1000.1 or Soundstream TN1.1200D as you can find them for ~$200 online. If you look closely, they and NVX are actually clones of each other, with PPI and SS identical inside, but PPI is slightly underrated in the literature.

PPI as in Percision Power? Yeah sonics has them at decent prices. I'm looking at that PPI BK1800.1D. Not bad for the price if they are being truthful with their ratings.......

Nakamichi PA-1500, very clean power and very conservatively rated at 1200 watts at 1 ohm, more like 1400 watts. $249 at Woofers etc.

30Ax5 = 150A fuse

40Ax3 = 120A fuse

what's up with the fuses in relation to the power they can put out? How does 2000watts get 120A and 1900watts get 150A?

Hifonics BRZ line or the audiopipe minis like apsm 1500 $135 i think or the apsm 2000 for $180

Audiopipe amps are true RMS power, that's a great option. MB Quart is good too
