Oh but I did, you just cant admit defeat even when you are faced against a wall of facts that disprove your assumptions. Hell, you have shown that half the time you dont even read the facts, see below.
Please show me a "rulebook" or whatever that states why your reason IS the reason for stretching tires. Do you know where it originated from? Please explain....since you think you have the answers, enlighten us.
I already did dumbass, do you read at all or just skim over the parts you want to?
People do it for different reasons so why is YOURS the right one? Because you said so? If people are doing it for aesthetics and wheel fitment, why does the performance even matter?
Because even the people that do it for performance admit that it is dangerous and should be avoided it possible. It is completely retarded to do something dangerous and unsafe just to get a certain look, that again is the epitomy of rice.
And when I ask you to show me some proof, what's your response? That I didn't search enough? I'll admit, I didn't search, but I go off people's experiences and not 1 person I know that runs stretched tires has had ANY problems...so now, prove me wrong and show me how many cases there have been where people have gotten in accidents or had a tire blown due to a stretched tire as opposed to how many people do it, because right now your claims are just like loading a gun with blanks, you're shooting but they don't do anything.
Hey, I have never known anyone that got shot in the face, I guess it is safe to assume that people never get shot in the face because it hasnt happened to people I know? You want the facts, its the internet, do your own research. I am here presenting MY knowledge on the matter based on the research I have done, meanwhile you just admitted you have done no research. Still want to argue it? I can guaruntee you will keep losing kid, you have already shown your own ignorance and opposition to learning fact based material. Keep going on your assumptions and oppinions and see how far that gets you, you cant dodge facts forever.
And if the reason behind it is performance, then why are you b*tching about it stretched tires?
That just doesnt make any sense...
And your statement to people cheaping out is quite funny, you do realize that some of the tires are quite expensive right? You do know that a good set of tires to be stretch can easily cost 1k right? So explain to me the cheaping out part. Seems like you lack ACTUAL knowledge. You sound like a robocop to me...you just regurgitate stuff you read...Has it ever occurred to you that what you read and what actually happens from experience can be different? Apparently not because you claim to know everything about stretched tires.
I have no doubt that the tires are expensive, but guess what, they are still buying tires that are cheaper than other, higher performance, tires. And they are using them in a way to try and mimic the performance of the higher performance tires. Just because you spend $1k on tires does not mean you are getting the highest performance tires, there are others that will have stiffer sidewalls, softer rubber compounds, etc. How is me telling you the facts and reasonings behind tire stretching showing my lack of knowledge? You seem to base ALL of your knowledge on a subject by how much something cost, since you have brought that up many times, and not by how a product actually performs.
I mean hey, a set of $1k tires is surely better than a set of $900 tires. You dont even need to look at the speed rating, rubber compund, tread wear rating, sidewall stiffness, tread pattern or any of that. You can tell they perform better because they cost more!
You have a LOT to learn kid, and you are showing yoru own ignorance with every reply. You keep arguing with knowledge and seem to be trying to re-write the book as far as car modification and parts performance is concerned. I wonder how differently your car would have looked if you had done research and gained knowledge before you did the work. I am more than convinced that any research you may have done (which was obviously VERY little) beforehand was very biased, and probably included statements like "thats never happened to me". Just because it doesnt happen to your friends does not mean it never happened.
