WRONG! It is a performance thing. Stretching a tire makes it feel like it has a stiffer sidewall, and can make the tire perform better than it was originally designed to. But this also makes the tire somewhat unstable and unsafe. It was never intended to be used to make inapproptiate tires fit, weekend racers do it to cheap out and save some money. And I guess now ricers do it to make ugly wheel/tire combos to fit. With the sidewall stretched out, it allows less flex, but also adds an enormous amount of stress on the sidewalls and can cause them to fail. Also, you have to run higher tire pressure to keep the beads seated, which makes it easy to pop a bead and have a blowout.
It happens quite often, I guess you didnt do your research before you decided to do your modifications... Typical ricer.
Yes, it does take a lot of force, and when you apply the tire in a manner in which it was not intended to work, that makes it easier for a failure.
The irony here is that you dont know the first thing about stretched tires other than what it looks like. Who has the lack of knowledge? You are the one that thinks camber and tire stretching is nothing more than an aestheitic thing with no bearing on performance...
Actually, internal pressure has A LOT to do with popping a bead on a stretched tire...
Who has been schooled? Do some research before you go spouting off about shit that you clearly know nothing about kid. Go read a book, learn about things before you do them. You are the epitomy of a ricer, you do tons of crap to screw up a perfectly good car, and then you prove that you know literally nothing about what you just did, and that you didnt look at any of the negative effects that it might have. Read up on stretching tires, see how safe that is... Maybe you will learn something about why people stretch, and not just why little ricers retards do it to get this ugly *** look.
