Why does one have to realize its a certain style to judge whether its visually appealing to them or not? Why would somebody respect throwing the wrong parts at the wrong vehicle?
Rice is a style too, doesn't mean I respect it or enjoy looking at rice rides.
They don't HAVE to, but if they do at least they have some sort of intelligence. Having an opinion is one thing, again, NOTHING wrong with that. Someone doesn't like it, fine, no big deal. I've had people tell me that to my face and I tell them it's a certain style. They still don't like the style but they understand it is a style. That I can respect. You don't have to like it, just understand there are people that do and that it is a style. Again, does EVERYONE like rap music? Or does everyone like rock? No, but people understand that there are people that like it. that's the difference.

Much more hope than you. You still havent learned yet that nobody really cares about your car. We just like seeing you freak out and writing page long paragraphs on how your way is right.
It doesn't bother me writing a lot. Yeah, again, NOBODY cares about my car, yet you can find several posts of people liking the way it's coming along. You're just ignorant, admit it. Never said my way is right, I just said it's a style and it's following that style and those that don't know the style try to say it's wrong. How does say a janitor comment on the process of making a rocket or something...just a wild example, but if you don't know anything or much about what you are commenting on, where is the value and validity in that? There isn't. Point proven.

Funny how you say I freak out and write paragraphs, respond, etc...yet you're doing the same thing. Guess you're blind and ignorant to that as well.

Meh...your opinion that subtle is better.....
As I said, it was unforeseen how much work was going to be put into the car. I also drive my car daily and sometime you can't just do everything at once. For example, I'm still waiting to put my front coilovers on to match the rears, but I can't because the clicker for the damper was damaged. I'm in contact with the company, but it takes several days to get to me, plus we tried different solutions, and finally the last one worked, or was supposed to. The new damper they sent is too short so now I have to wait another week to get the right one.
You can do extreme modifications and still be subtle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif . I guess it just takes a certain level of class that you havent found yet to be able to heavily modify something and not stick out like a teenager with daddy's credit card.

Everything has unforseen issues, gotta budget for them. If you dont budget for them and run out of money, guess what, you didnt have enough money to do it right...

I guess you don't understand what custom work means. When you get an aftermarket body kit, fitment is never 100%, unless you buy authentic, which most people, especially in the G community do not do because authentic kits usually cost 2-3k. That requires modifying and it depends on who does it, but no matter who does it still needs work, it's a known fact.
I understand what custom means, I also understand that if you are going to be doing custom work, you better have enough money to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Besides, you bought a luxury sedan, you are making it clear that the work you attempted to do was beyond your financial capabilities. You tried to buy a nice car and customize it, but didnt have the money to do it right from the beggining. If you dont have the money, you dont have the money. It doesnt matter if it was an unforseen expense or a planned expense.

Point isnt proven. Just because people say its wrong doesnt mean they dont know what the style is or what its supposed to look like.

Keep lashing out, you only prove Im right about your insecurity with every reply. Why do you care if people hate your car, redneck or not?
I don't care if people hate my car. I'm not lashing out one bit either. I prove you're right about insecurity? Please explain how, because I try to make people understand I'm not the only one that doe this?

Anybody can throw goofy lookin shit at a car and call it a style though. I think you are too wrapped in the word "style". If it looks like shit, it looks like shit, people shouldn't have to research or realize its a style to judge whether your car looks like its broken or not.

Because you came looking for oppinions, and when you people dont like it you try to defend the car by saying its a style and other people do it. Telling us its a style doesnt make us like it, we still think it is ugly. Just because other people do it doesnt make us like it, I think theirs are ugly too. I personally dont care how many people do it, I still think it is ugly.

Lots of people pop the collars on their polo shirts, just because more than one person does it does NOT make me want to do it or like that style...

I personally do not care for what the op has done to his ride. But I realize that its his car and he can do what he wants to it. Why cant other people see that and just get off his back?

This thread has lived far too long and its just becoming a ***** fest now

You are right, it is his car and he can do whatever he wants.

But we have our oppinions, and we can do whatever we want with them... Free speech works both ways.

Nobody likes the stretch tire look here? Why don't you go back and read and you'll find several people actually do like it, thought the majority HERE does not.

My fronts are not stretched that much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif but the rears are stretched quite a bit, most people don't stretch the tire that much, but what you see in the front is very common so before saying it's too much of a stretch, why don't you take a look at some of the cars that actually do it, just a lil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
So basically what you're saying here is cause all the other stupid queers do it then it's okay for you to be a freakin tard & do it too. You fail. /your life.

VIP style has been out for quite some time, not everyone is around when something is releasing.
That's hardly the point. You continue to assert that folks are unfamiliar with VIP, yet there are probably quite a few people here besides myself who knew what it was before you did.

You try to comment on my automotive knowledge yet you are only basing it on my wheels. Funny.
When an element of the ricing process puts other motorists in danger, I begin to take notice. To be fair, I also commented on the draperies as well as on the hooker in the back seat hanging on the pole. Since you brought it up, the ill-fitting body kit is pure rice, too.

I don't mean to paint you as the ricer of the moment, but you're the only one I know. Sure, groups of ricers stand by my Evo in a parking lot, as if something will magically rub off on them, but they rarely speak when they see me. So, you're it by default. What goes through your mind when you decide to attach a bunch of aftermarket body panels to an already fine automobile? You know the fit won't be perfect, you should know that everyone who sees the car also sees the tacky body (err...) "enhancements." As your aim revolves around looking (err...) "good," this doesn't make a lot of sense. Honestly, I'd love to hear the rationale.

donpisto, why are you so adamant about defending the style, or if you prefer, why are your convictions so strong about teaching us the way of the style? What's more, how does the style translate into chivalry and gallantry?

Why must you post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post?

No person who originally expressed that they didn't like your approach has changed their mind since the first pics were presented, yet this thread continues to drone on. Far too many intelligent individuals are wasting their brain power in this incredibly useless and ridiculous thread. Can we please let it die?

I'm too wrapped up in the word style...yeah, thats why there is a forum on this "style", shows, and quite a bit of people do it.....right?

Because you came looking for oppinions, and when you people dont like it you try to defend the car by saying its a style and other people do it. I came looking for opinions? Show me where I said that. I posted to SHARE pictures. Again, some said they don't like it AND don't understand that's what VIP style reflects...those are the ignorant ones...the others that realize it is and don't like it, have some intelligence.

And you're right, just because some people do it doesn't mean you have to, but if you like it and want to do it, then do it. If you don't, then don't. Simple as that.

I personally do not care for what the op has done to his ride. But I realize that its his car and he can do what he wants to it. Why cant other people see that and just get off his back?

Because people can't seem to realize that some people like it and some people don't. They think that because they don't like it, nobody does...that's where the problem lies.
