i have 300amp fuse under the hood, but if i eventually run a 5k+ amp/s would i need a bigger fuse, and if so, where can i get them?

If your fuse blows, then its time to go higher. I think 300amps is the highest for an anl fuse, but not certain. You may need to run another cable with another anl fuse.

You need more wire, not more fuse. Multiple runs of 1/0 with 300amp fuses will get you the power you need safely.
