imp rise question for ya box builders

i have ordered a pair of those sa-15's dual 4 ohm. will be running off a quart 1500. should i have gotten the dual 2's since rise will probably bring it above 1 ohm anyway? last box i had was seeing a 1.91 ohm to this amp. or just leave it alone with the dual 4's i have on order? thoughts?

I wouldn't run that quart at .5, even with rise. depends on the size of the box I'd say.

yeah just haven't built the box yet until i get the subs. just wondering about this. i just don't want to end up with a final imp of 3 or something.

You shouldn't triple resistance from box rise, it's usually double at max.

Not totally accurate, I've seen cases with x3 box rise, but that was more so for SPL only enclosures,

but as you mentioned, i still wouldn't run that amp @ .5 ohm.

well the box that will be built will have a adjustable port, with bigger for spl and smaller for daily.

the quart runs just perfect @ .5 daily with good electrical
