I got a Alpine 9815 HU that is hooked up to a zx850.4 amp running an active front, I`m running 1/0 wires both pos. & neg. from the battery to the amp,also have the Big-3 done.I have a whine when the car is running it has the alt.whine all the time whether I`m playing music or not I have the Hu grounded to the antena and a factory ground... what am I missing?

Are the amps grounded properly?

amp is grounded to battery via 1/0 wire....I think I figured out what to do I`ll run a ground wire straight from the battery(neg term.) to the neg wire of HU.

try saving the extra 12-15ft of 1/0 and make it 1-2 feet from the amps location to a good clean ground in the trunk.

Did you run the power wire/ rca's on opposite sides?

NO I did not do that. But the reason I`m running 1/0 Neg.wire from battery to dist.block is the amount of power requires it and a much better current flow(less resistance).
