Here is my set up, Its a '87 Grand National with 1.5 tweeters rated at 40rms each on the dash, infinity 5.25 kappas on the door and infinity 6x9 kappas on the rear. I didnt install the tweeters but i believe they were wired to the HU the rest of the speakers are being pushed by a Pioneeer PRS-D4100F wired at 2 ohms and the HU is a Pioneer DEH-P7900BT. 99% of my music is from my ipod and in most cases ill have to crank the HU all the way up just to get it where i want it and anything lower than 25 is barely anything. Now my question is what can i do to make these speakers louder?
I am currently in the market for a new HU so dont know if that will help but other than that what else can be done?
By the way my lows were from a MA Audio HK12X2 12" in a sealed 1.3 box pushed by a Hifonics BXi 1606D amp wired for 1ohm. Couple months back the sub went out so now im looking at a DC Audio LV 4 sub with the upgraded guts and firmer suspension to go with the same sealed box.
