imp rise on DD subs

i have read somewhere that DD subs rise more than other subs when you play.. is this correct?

hmm.. i wonder if i should find a 2ohm stable amp for my dual 2ohms sub.. i mean.. a amp that puts out full power at 2ohm, i dont think the amp will burn even if i wire the sub 1ohm + when i have the rise..

what do you think? safe or not??

Meh, I have my Atomic 5000.1 wired to half ohm, and in my tests today, the lowest impedance it saw was 0.76 ohm, which wasn't too much of a rise, but I also saw 1.38 ohm, which is a good bit of rise. If you are going to go with an amp that does full power at 2 ohm, make sure it won't go into protect if ran at a lower impedance..

hm okey.. i have had my eyes on mmats amps.. no one here in sweden uses them so it would be fun to test.. but wich of them gives me more power on my dd3512E dual 2ohm?

MMATS D2100.1 or D2100.2, same amps but gives full power in different impedance. and its hard to know the subs "real" impedance with all rising.. =/

I would go with a Kicker ZX2500.1 and run it at 1 ohm. TommyK does it with his 9500 subs, and pulls 150+ with the 10, 12, and 15 in his little truck.
