Honestly, it's hard for me to say because I've never lived in a time or place without religion. Even athiests' morals are from religion, because they are so ingrained in society by now.

it's actually pretty easy to believe that we came from monkey's too. very simple science. if you believe for one second that your alone in this vast complex galaxy or that there isn't a higher power.... you are sadly mistaken. you don't have to believe in religion but you must believe that someone greater than you created everything... including you. all of us, including murder's, thieves, and priest serve a purpose. we all have a job to do.
you think elements, bacteria, and energy created your complex body? look at the human eye. it is a very complex machine/tool that is more sophisticated than any optical devise ever created by man.
