IMHO GOD > Evolution

how will i be disapointed if i no longer exist?
what if there is a god and you don't just quit existing, then what kind of disapointed will you be?

i'm not too worried about that ..... i'm too selfish to worry about the future... i live in the moment for simply my own pleasures in life..... it's the same reason i drive 2 blocks to the store and join the movement to bring back the clubbing of baby seals....

i can beat any argument you have on this because if there really was a god then he wouldn't have thrust something like Britney Spears onto the world and keeps it in the spotlight.....

you're using circular reasoning here...
why live?

why breed?

why eat?

why shit?

why die?

...if when it ends you are no different then when it began?
Because you want too, if you don't, then don't, or else commit *******. What kind of stupid questions are those?

Are you telling us the only reason you live your life is to get to Heaven? To a place you cannot prove exists with anything other than what you have been told?

As for your comment about God existing without time, another idea you just brainstormed. It doesn't take much to think up a new answer, does it? It doesn't take much to follow one either...

big bang. scince is everything. we are all made of element's........ try telling that to mormons..........
thanx for bringing back the creation theory. the big bang theory was funded by the cathloics. it proves that mass was created by energy. a source of energy can not be created by mass. it had to start somewhere. the true source of energy dwells in all of us. it is in evrything and everyone.

Sorry that you don't like the answer.
Should I have said, to sacrifice one's self in the possibility of the existence of a higher power?

Think about the number of people that have died on this planet.

Do you have any idea how long the line is going to be in heaven just to see god?

I don't wait in lines.
All the smart ones cut in line, and then confess, and are forgiven. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

ok you live for the moment, you do what you do with no conscern for the future because you don't have the future, all you have is the now...

but now when that future becomes the "now" it's all gone and might as well have never happened...

so why did it?

how could it have?

if you think about it from your own perspective, if you don't exist then the world doesn't exist...

think about that hard for a minute...

you live your life and die... (from your shoes), when you cease to exist, so does the universe

because (again, from YOUR perspective...) the only knowledge you have that the universe exists is from your perspective... and when that perspective dies, so does the universe

Three guys die together in an accident and go to heaven. When they get there, St. Peter says, "We only have one rule here in heaven...don't step on the ducks."

So they enter heaven, and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place. It is almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first guy accidentally steps on one.

Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest woman he ever saw. St. Peter chains them together and says "Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly woman!"

The next day, the second guy steps accidentally on a duck, and along comes St. Peter , who doesn't miss a thing, and with him is another extremely ugly woman. He chains them together with the same admonishment as for the first guy.

The third guy has observed all this and not wanting to be chained for all eternity to an ugly woman, is very, VERY careful where he steps. He manages to go months without stepping on any ducks, but one day St. Peter comes up to him with the most gorgeous woman he has ever laid eyes on...a very tall, tan, curvaceous, sexy blonde. St. Peter chains them together without saying a word. The guy remarks, "I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity?"

The woman replies, "I don't know about you but I stepped on a duck"

it's actually pretty easy to believe that we came from monkey's too. very simple science. if you believe for one second that your alone in this vast complex galaxy or that there isn't a higher power.... you are sadly mistaken. you don't have to believe in religion but you must believe that someone greater than you created everything... including you. all of us, including murder's, thieves, and priest serve a purpose. we all have a job to do.

you think elements, bacteria, and energy created your complex body? look at the human eye. it is a very complex machine/tool that is more sophisticated than any optical devise ever created by man.

it's o.k. to question man but never question the higher power that created you.

Then I'm going to shoot you, because I think that is right.

Seriously... does your argument make any sense? If we all determined what was right, this world would be a MESSED UP place.
Then try, I will shoot you first, and without worrying about going to hell. Are you honestly going to tell me that your religious views determine everything you do?

And you just stated my point, religion helps keep the world from being a messed up place because it lays a foundation for good behaviors. I never said religion was a bad thing, but I don't agree with the idea of a God.

Seriously... you wouldn't have morals without religion?

god i disgust you.

it makes as much or more sence as yours does... if there really isn't a god than who cares how messed up the world is?
