IMHO GOD > Evolution

what i know is that NOTHING can happen without a cause... think about it and you can give me NO example... this is called INFINITE REGRESS... (in other words, everything that happens has a cause) now that leaves us with 2 possibilities to the origin of causes:
either a mysterious big bang, which says... "at one time there was nothing and then nothing exloded into everything for no reason..."

or a religion theory which says that an omnipotent being exists ETERNALY (that means outside the bounds of time) who decided to creat the universe...

ironicly, the ability to function outside the bounds of time, would make one "omnipotent"

besides all that, if there is no god, or AFTERLIFE... then there is no purpose for a specific pattern of behavior during one's life... so what is the purpose in an athiest's life? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Hmm, I think you caught on. How do we make everyone be good little boys and girls? Let's threaten them with a place like Hell, and convince them to be good by offering them a place like heaven.

I believe the answer to your question is morals. What I believe is right determines what I do. Can you not say the same?

Do you follow every guideline laid down by your religion of choice? If you do, I must admit I'm impressed, because I know not a single self proclaimed "religious person" who does not disagree/not follow certain rules because they feel they aren't correct.

Oh but that's ok, there's confession, right? The "undo" button. Makes everything better.

Thinking about the beginning of the universe, I can't accept the argument that "There was always a God, he was always there, forever, irrelevant.", I can't settle for such a simple answer.

so if you claim not to believe in a god, why do you have morals? there is no purpose...

and "allways" or "FOREVER" are incorrect terms... those apply the dimmension of time... i'm talking about the absence of time... while the concept of a being existing at this level, or in this state, seems awkward or hard to imagine... it HAS to be true other-wise the universe couldn't possibly exist... even evolutionists will tell you that things don't happen without a cause....

and there is NO other way to get around a cause than a conscious god... because only through a choice could a chain of causes start... in other words, if "god" was just a fancy word for an unconscious force such as gravity or the "Big bang" then it must have a cause...

free will is the begining of causation...

from a diestic perspective:

there was nothing, therefore, god DECIDED to create something, which we know as everything...

from a big bang perspective:

there was nothing, and then all the sudden for no reason, there was everything

which one is more believable?

That doesn't make any ****ing sense. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
what don't you understand about it?

if there is no higher purpose in life, and when you die thats IT...

then WHY behave in a certain manner? why not just kill yourself now? it doesn't matter, your life has no purpose...

honestly... if there is no god, then WHAT is the purpose of life?

everything you cherish, even your very existence is of no avail the entire universe and ALL the functions it contains are meaningless and even your life experiences mean nothing because when you die, you will cease to exist and all those memories and everything in your mind will disapear

hate to say this man but.......

YOU'RE IN FOR A WHOLE WORLD OF DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN YOU DIE AND FEED THE WORMS.....

too many people use a term like ATHIEST to describe themselves without thinking about it enough...

don't just listen to something someone says and call yourself an athiest an leave it at that, really think about it...

the #1 disease in the world today is apathy...

no one wants to think...

thats why drugs, alcohol, shallow pleasures and all kinds of things that "TAKE YOUR MIND OF YOUR PROBLEMS" are so popular today...

if you are interested in this theory, look up "the metaphysical sickness"

which is described as basically apathy, or boredom, "the refusal to think"

how will i be disapointed if i no longer exist?

what if there is a god and you don't just quit existing, then what kind of disapointed will you be?
