IMHO GOD > Evolution

Couldn't help it, these two statements were too good to pass up. A lame statement and a good response

right, but one cannot be right without the other being wrong so you must choose to beileve one
Sounds like a typical religious statement...

Sure, one is right and the other isn't, but if you don't know the answer, why would you guess at it?
Sounds like a statement from somebody that thinks for themselves, not just what they are told //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

After reading that only 4 in 5 knows the earth rotates around the sun, I question these validity of these classrrom experiments.

Hmmm, I would tend to agree.

However, by experimentation I mean something like dropping a tennis ball from a given height to observe the effect of gravity.

I haven't put much thought into this response other than while reading the past few minutes, so its probably flawed and your more than welcome to point it out to which Ill come back and respond...

First of all, lets stop asking questions to get someones answer such as, well then how does this work? Unless you have a statement, it doesn't answer anything, it just points out someones else's lack of an answer.

For the whole how the universe was created. Why does there have to be a "God" to make it. It might just be mixing water and dirt in the perfect proportion at perfect conditions and shit happens.

I don't know a lot of answers to many things that happen, and Im content with that. I don't need to know everything, as long as I can function in a manner that pleases me.

I did like the idea that we are something of epic proportions though. I havent really explored the idea, but its very feasible.

I like asking questions because it helps me understand how a person got to where they are in their faith. How can I understand someone or let them influence my beliefs if I don't know what made them decide the way they did?

religious statement? again don't attack me, attack the statement...

if both are different and both say the other is wrong, than only one is right, so you must choose to believe one or choose not to choose... there are 6 results

1 you chose religion and you were right, you die happy

2 you chose religion and you were wrong, no biggy since you don't exist anymore you don't really care

3you chose atheism and you were right, who cares you don't exist anymore

4you chose athiesm and you were wrong, you are in for a world of hurt

5 you didn't choose and athiesm was right, so what? you don't exist anymore

6 you didn't choose and religion was right, you are again, in for a world of hurt

and your choice is?

Pascal was only 1000 years ahead of you jackass.

This become a Nash equilibirum problem pretty quickly.

I'll play but you hafta play too. and you have to show your work.

You live as though God exists: If God exists, you go to heaven: your gain is infinite.

If God does not exist, you gain nothing & lose nothing.

except one caveat...what if you live as though the wrong God exists...isn't that blasphemy, and isn't that bad?
so that theory is enough to convince you to live like there is no god?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
