Image dynamics best for balance of spl/sq 10s or 12s?

I currently have 2 Polk Audio MM1040 10" subs ran by an AQ 1200D. before those i had 2 RF punch 2 12"s.
the difference in sound quality (metal music) its crazy. i hear parts of songs i always wondered, why is there no bass there with the 12s.

i ran with those polk 10s because of space problems, but im getting a new car and i will have plenty of room to do what i like.

so my question is, will say some idq 12" subs have the sound quality that 10s have, where it picks up more frequencies i guess is what it is doing. if not, what 10s would u suggest? i wont spend more than $150 on 1 sub.

Will AQ's SDC2.510 be an upgrade over the polks? will it be a big enough upgrade to sell my polks (losing money) and buy two SDC2.510?

i would like to keep what i get ran by the AQ 1200D if possible. I want sound quality over spl, but i feel the polks dont get very loud, which may just be what i will get with a SQ 10" sub, no matter what brand. The 10s that bang might **** for SQ, thats why im here asking.

thanks
I love RF and always will however any sub sounds better than a Punch 12. My Cerwin Vega V-Maxes do me a lot of justice and give me great SPL and SQ. T3 Audio is also SQL oriented. I have the TS series and yes I prefer 10s over 12s for SQ as well.

The older you get the more you will appreciate the sound of image dynamics. The quality of the sound don't matter when your young. It's all about pissing off the neighbors and being heard a block away.

I am on a few diff forums and a few people now have said the IDMax v3 does not handle the power it says for long music play. I know IDmax was great back in the day when they where all usa made. Their sq I think has dropped a little since they went over seas. Look at Atomic subs. I would say with your power 2 Atomic manhat 12s they have a nice tight susp setup that plays double bass perfect. If you want higher power handling look at the Quantums. Oh and Atomic built the IDmax subs when there where all usa made. Atomic has a 3 year warr even if you burn the coil out, and has a higher eff rating 1w1m then the IDmax so you get more for your watt ! I like my music loud and did everything from 4 digital design 9515s on 4 digital designs Z1 amps to 3 RE audio XXX 18s on 3 Z1 amp and ended up getting the best music and loudest with 6 12s from atomic. Part of the reason I am louder is the 30,000rms on the subs but its more then 5db louder then the DDs and they had 20k rms on them. I sell DD, RE Audio, Atomic, and many other brands Atomic just stands out from the rest.

An LMT Based 10" (i.e. TC LMS 4000,AP LM10D2,Eclipse SW8000) makes short work of most other SQ based subs if properly ran. The 10" Revo is also a nice and loud SQ sub. The ID stuff is okay but man is there some biased people out there, if they were that great they would still be around, lol. The ID Max 10 scored a 65 of a possible 80 in caraudiomag 10" challenge, lol. even the Xtant X2 beat it, lol. The IDQ's are a much better driver over all than the Max. Loud... Yes, ear pleasing to a discerning audiophile... no, lol. Fi Q 10's are very nice SQ based subs. The Old Audiomobile Evo 2210 S24's were SQ and very efficient. Alot of good subs out there that out perform the ID's but for the money the IDQ's are not a bad driver. The Arc 10 is pretty much an IDQ in desguise. The CDT Mid-level 10"s will outperform an IDQ as well. Alumapro's seldom fail to please, especially the older TC-9 based lines.

All of the above applies to the 12" versions of the sub as well, lol.

i would put an audiopulse against id anyday
RARE TC Sounds TC-1000 10" Audiopulse Subwoofer NEW DVC - eBay (item 180492457155 end time May-10-10 14:35:08 PDT)

tc-1000 basically an audiopulse revo, takes 500 to 600rms and sounds beautiful.
Seriously. What is your fascination with posting links in every response you make? Do you work for Amazon or something? Do you enjoy spoon feeding people who are too lazy to look up a product that you emphatically suggest they use?
I realize it's possible that you've actually had each of the drivers that you just love to recommend so much - I've had more than a few pass through my hands as well. But with all the mistakes you make when talking about drivers that you claim to have had, there's just no way I can take you seriously, nor would I suggest others to.

A TC 1000 is a TC2+ based driver, a REVO is a TC9 based driver. Both great SQ platforms but worlds apart. If you had actually held either of these drivers in your hand, you would immediately know the difference.
