Try running one sub at a time. Does each sub do this or is it just one? Forgive me if this was already stated.

try a different amp. any amp. just give the sub whatever you got. try and run them seperatly.

also might wanna get a DMM and see if there is some kinda voltage increase\decrease... put it on the battery with the volume at normal, and watch it when that noise comes out. does the voltage (should be ~14) go up or down drastically?

did you upgrade the big 3?

how thick is your power wire?

what fuse do you have on it?

how are the subs wired and whats the voice coil config?

have you tried another pair of subs yet?

can you hear it through the stock speakers?

try another set of RCA (even though they SHOULD be ok).

thats all i can think of mang.

When I first installed my system, the inline fuse under the hood was a bit small for the fuse holder, and the amp would lose power + turn back on/off at random, sometimes making a popping noise. Does it do it when you are driving or sitting still ?

i havent tried one sub at a time... but that seems like a good

step...

the system is out of my car right now... i was so distraught

yesterday that i just pulled it out... im going to cut the ends of

the wires and strip nice new ones...

also... i put my old old JBL subs in the box so when i hook it

up im going to use those and see if the amp is still giving me

the pops... all the while saving my SE's from that abuse...

if the pops dont continue with the old subs im going to be

wicked upset and pray for my SE's...

the SE's were wired to 2ohms for a final load of 1ohm...

the amp is 1100 @ 1ohm...

is there even a way for me to have blown the SE's with this amp???

i did not hear anything through the stock speakers.

i have a DMM and will gladly try to measure the volts if the pops

continue with the JBL's...

the power wire is only like 8 gauge i think... or 4??? but ive

never had a problem before...

i will try new RCA's... i have a LOC too that im going to investigate...

but this all requires me to tear up my trunk again... and its

been raining all freaking day... not to mention it is DARK AS HELL

when i get out of work... i can do this thursday since im off... if

it doesnt rain... [please please dont rain anymore]

the pops happen both while driving and parked...

like i said its like a pop from holding your lips together tight

and forcing air out...

if i were to take it to a shop would they probably know right

away what it is???

this is misery after waiting so long for the subs to come... and

discovering this nifty forward firing into the cabin setup... it sounded

sooooooooooo good...
