If you get it rebuilt, it'll be a good amount cheaper, but make sure you get a warranty on the re-build. You might just be better off putting a new one in if the original is really damaged.

 
well judging from your sig, i am guessing that you have a 4 speed or if the capri is a v8, you have a t-5 either way those are a dime a dozen, you should be able to find one pretty easily, hell i had 3 just last week and sold them (t-5s)

i wouldnt sweat it to much

Yeah, it was that bad!

j/k, I've been through it but mine was covered under the warranty. Mine was $3200.

 
my old car (95 mazda 626 lx) needed a new transmission and it costed 2400....i still got it sittin in a garage and probably just gonna get rid of it....fixed its only worth 2450...so yeah its goin bye bye
