I'm not sure what's going on...

I just replaced my factory speakers in my 95 Integra 4DR SE with Infinity Kappa 692.7i 6x9s in the rear hooked up to a two channel Profile AP600 600w amp going to my Pioneer head unit, along with some Infinity 6012i for the front speakers.

Now my back speakers sound fine (the ones connected to the amp) but my new front speakers are wayyy too quiet, almost to the point where you have to put your ear up to them to make sure they are playing sound.

Even before I put the new front speakers in, and was just testing the back the new back speakers, the factory front speakers were also playing really low one I put the new amp and back speakers in.

I was wondering if anybody here knew what is happening?

Also, just for a little extra info, the fade on my head unit is completely weird now, when I have it to full rear it actually takes the rear speakers down in volume, not up, and when I put the them to full front nothing comes out of any of the speakers, front or back.

Please help, this is very frustrating!

Thank you for your time.

The back of my HU had two sets of female RCAs, now they are not marked for some reason, and I lost my HU manual, so I was assuming one was an input, and one was an output, I just picked one and hooked it to my amp and it worked, are you saying that I should try to other set? I'm not sure what else would be wired wrong.

Yes, I read about how amping my front speakers might be a better choice, but honestly the bass on the Kappas are nice enough that I would want those amped over my front speakers.

It honestly doesn't sound like it is overpowering it, it sounds like they are faded down...but I have no idea what would do this besides my HU, and I have already tried messing with the fade settings on my HU...

Thanks for your replies.

Sorry, bare with me, you must remember that you know a lot more about car audio than I ever will. I didn't even realize they are both ouputs, I'm going to go switch it really quick to see if that is the problem.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P3700MP

PROBLEM SOLVED

I switch the RCA to the other set of outputs, works fine, fade now works too. Hah, I feel pretty stupid, but thanks for your help guys.
