Im not sure If I need a new battery or just a capacitor

Sounds like you are sold on getting a cap. Just get one and hook it up.
Then a month later when you are making another thread about why your voltage is dropping under 12, think about what EVERYBODY was telling you. A lot of guys here tell you stuff from experience. From experience, I can tell you the thing is shit. DIsregard what the best buy people told you. If they were selling batteries, they would not try and convince you that you need a cap.
what an *******. plain and simple. **** off

The truth hurts, OP. In your situation a cap would never help. You need more amperage, which can only be found in a battery or alternator. I'd also heed my advice in post 14 if you haven't.

You have a different situation altogether and I wouldn't even be looking at an additional battery or cap yet.
Your system used to work, and now it doesn't. That means something is wrong with your electrical. First check all your grounds and positives. Maybe one came loose or is corroded. A loose connection will increase resistance which will cause more amperage needing to be pulled which equals drops in voltage.

I'd also check your alternator and existing battery. Either or may be going bad.

I would go with this guys advice 1st. If your system was fine before and now it is losing voltage i dont think a battery(or cap:rolleyes:) is going to help this situation. I would be checking your stuff.
