im new at this i need help

im installing a new cd player everything is already hooked up to my amp but i cant get any sound out of my rear speaskers. i dont have a clue to what is wrong. does anyone have any suggestions/

are the rear speakers amped ? what is on an amp ?

Check you wiring. Is your amp powered up? Are the rear speaker the one's your running off of the amp? Rca's connected? do have the fader set to the front? etc...

if your rears are amped and not the front, switch that IMO. if not, your fader may be pushed all the way forward like previously stated. you say everything is hooked up to the amp, so im guessing your amp was installed into a cd player and you are swapping them out? check your remote wire, and wiring, that should be about the only thing other than a faulty amp holding u back...
