I'm looking at a 94 s10...motor runs rough

well, I've found it for $500 with some rust in the floor, which I can replace, but the motor is said to run rough.

I have a buddy, who could replace the engine for me if I find another one for a small fee.

I was looking to get a used engine at a junkyard or maybe ebay. I know that it is the 4.3 votec engine 4x4. Is this swap easy? I'm hopefully going to just get the same exact motor just to insure that the motor fits teh ******...anyone know if a v8 small block v8 could fit the ****** without replacing it?

there are lots of v8 conversion kits for s-10's

No. The bellhousing is not the same from V6 to V8.

You can do a v8 swap.

you should try and find a motor first so you don't get stuck with a truck that is shit

belive it or not im swapping motors in a 1994 s10 blazer with 4.3 W motor(central port injection) and its not an ez task im in automotive school a month from graduating and that motor is way to big for that truck and the w motor is a pain to work on anyways its got one injector that looks like a spider that runs lines from injector to poppet valves to each cylinder they have a bad tendacy to rot and leave u with a 500$ injector bill

the motor was 650 used for the one im doin and its got alot of miles all the others with close to 100k on em was 900-1200 so be prepared to spend alot on the motor there is also 2 different 4.3 motors that came in that truck so make sure u know which one it is they have diofferent injection systems
