i got my idq8's installed in my AP doorpods. and they are earsex.

if somone was still close to me in virginia beach he could come listen, but he had to be a punkass bitch and move to the west coast.

i srsly cant figure out why 10's are needed, my idq8d4v2s are awesome. i ended up folding the cone on the seas drivers i was using, the paper cones were just too thin for the pressure that the AP enclosure and the 4x over poweredness could handle lol.

That punkass bitch is pretty close to where I am, I can almost smell 'em.

For my setup, the 10"s were pretty much needed

1. For the location of the 8"s, the shape/volume behind it, made it nasty under 200hz.

2. I had a huge void on my door panels that was just asking to be filled with something (~10.5")

3. Peerless 10" SLS = $65 a piece, works well free-air, and is under 5" deep.

Now everything sounds just about how I want it. Now I just have to make it look like how I would like it to.

I don't think he went to Autobacs... IIRC he went to the Alpine Customer appreciation, but I think he said he wasn't able to make it to Autobacs after. You woulda been SOL if that was the case...well not really, plenty of other great setups at Autobacs I'm sure.
