I'm inFInitely Baffled.

i cant wait to make a thread that says im infinitely baffled TOO or #2 or TWO.

the 94' camry is coming along great. To bad you can't hear 2 15's that are going to be going in mine. i have wiring ran through, foamed up, rear deck deadened, just installed new dva-9861 optical wiring and ainet to trunk. trim is off. i need a little more foam along edges, then it comes down to two things

1. should i grind the opening a little to be 15.5" - 16" HIGH, which allows all trim panels to still work.

or should i make an extension to push the board back and then ib it?

the way I did mine, I can't fit 15"s, since the floor to the top of the opening behind the seats is 13.5". I'd say go for the route that would be easier on you.

Also, don't forget to foam the c-pillars.

yeah did u end up foaming the square opening like an inch above the deck on the c pillars. i cant see if u did. but if u didnt that where i ran my wires actually i avoided the grommet since i have 2 runs of 1/0 gauge to run through plus ai net and optical cables so i routed all speaker wires through the squares.

But yeah ill have pictures for sure.

I most like foamed that spot. I went crazy w/ the expanding foam. For wires I ran the speaker wire through a hole on the lower left of opening, and ran my power wire through a huge hole on the top left of the opening. and of course, foamed some more.

I hope you have a lot of pics mike.

I miss my pair of Idmaxs

Looks great Bikini. Very clean. Just to be sure you have all the spots sealed. I recommend playing at a good volume level and searching for air leaks while all the panels are off.

I would've never found that my c-pillars were leaking w/o the panels off.

Already have. Everything's sealed. I played a couple Young Jeezy tracks at full tilt and started feeling around. This was before the car was reassembled. No leaks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sweet. How do you compare IB to sealed or ported? Any loss of output?

One iDmax would've satisfied ur output needs, but two is heaven

I don't think one would've satisfied me. I mean, maybe just for SQ music, but not when I'm running full tilt. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm happy. It has about equal output of the one w7 I was using. That's saying a lot b/c the w7 was pretty dang loud in a ported box tuned to 28hz. Pretty flat response, without EQ work. Plays well into 70hz, where some have said most IB setups fall off hard after 50/60hz.

That's great. Being satisfied is what its all about. Jus try not to get obsessed with the constsnt tuning to where you forget about the music.

Also, if you're not satisfied with 2 idmaxs IB'd, then something's wrong with you.
