LOL, we had a DIYMA meet last saturday and I heard it personally. he didn't have a front stage, but his subs sounded great. the owner, cvjoint, is a techno junky (i am also) and it kept up w/ every beat. He gets major flex on his roof.

he's soon to have 10"s in his door w/ ribbons iirc.

yep thats what Levon(don on caj.com) was telling me. I pm'd him(cvjoint) on diyma, i wanted to ask him a few questions about goin IB.

I used to run a polk 300.2 before my car got stolen and I loved that amp. It packed plenty of power, had nice crossovers, ran very cool, and could take a beating. If they weren't so uncommon/expensive, I would have bought two for my next setup.

That looks really really nice. This makes me remember why I keep coming back here, hoping to see somebody who is trying something new and is really putting the effort that is needed into their system. I hope to be able to do something similar when I get back to the states, and buy a new car that is suited more towards sq.

As for the polk amps, they look nice. For me, when it comes to amps, I just require them to put out the solid watts i need. or it's just 'cause i can't afford the higher quality stuff. I might not also be able to tell the difference

Hey Megalomaniac what sub are you planning to use for going ib? Man, James car sounded so much better with his Idmax Ib ed. We both thought that he would loose some output coming from ported but, It was actually the same or better, nice low end presence also.

I am not going IB. I dont have the skillz for it.

I am working on a new build i think its rather creative IMO, im trying not to say much. only people that know about it are the people that are helping me with advice.

I am using a 12" Mag if it matters. IB is fascinating but as i said before im too much of a nub compared to james and req to do such a thing.

Well after seeing this thread I think I am going to go ib with my next sub stage. Also interested in the dash mat...Did you make that up yourself or did you buy it like that? And the purpsoe is to raise your front stage height, correct?

the dash mat was actually bought like that. I got it off of ebay. It helped w/ the stage height a lot. It suppose to stop soundwaves from reflecting back and forth form the dash and windshield. My stage was very low before I added the mat.
