I'm inFInitely Baffled.

and here's the rear w/ the panels back on.

There are suppose to be two panel pieces that cover the two sides that still reveals the deadening, but i had to cover the holes that held them in place. I will find a way to have them stay on

james, screw those other panels. do yourself a favor and get a piece of wood (mdf will be fine - itl be all covered) and cut it to the size\shape of that whole area. mount the board there (sans suboofer) and trace hole from sub onto back side of said panel. do calculations, find centerpoint of said circle, and expand edge to the exterior diamater of said subwoofer. cut.

insert panel with said speaker installed in baffle, there should be a pretty counter sunk speaker there. cover said panel in vynl, alcantara, or choice of finishing material, and then mount via screws through the BACK side of the baffle to the front panel.

all done. no need for ugly plastic panels.

it looks like on left\right its quite a bit of an angle. you could use some planters foam to build up a nice shape and glass over it to cover up the deadening, or cut some wood to fill that space. im sure you can figure it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

also - does the power wire cut across the car back there? why is it cutting up the back seat back there?

Hopefully the eDead will hold its place. Most of the mat on the ceiling stayed on after about 3 yrs. After a coat of liquid, they should stay on much longer. Liquid deadener stays on very well. I'll just hope for the best.

Req: I'll look into making that panel. I'm leaning towards putting the panel back on, for it's much much easier, and imo doesn't look too bad. I may post a pic of it later to show how it looks.

The power wire cuts across like that because I didn't have the time yet to give it more slack. I use to just run from the driver side then through the center (where the baffle is) to where the rear batt is, which the passenger side of the trunk. Should be an easy fix.

looks like ill be doing an IB for a friend of mine. now i gotta figure out what kind of subs he is going to get.

Congrats on doing your door pods correctly and not trying to build off and attach to the cheap factory panels.
thanks Req^^ , He had part in making them. I bought them second hand from GCaddidas13.

lawl. a part? he was a little whiny ***** asking me like a million questions, every time he got done with a step i talked with him for like 3 hours explaining how to finish them, then he drove to my place and chilled for two weeks and i helped finish them.

those aeib15's look pretty neat. not sure how the response for car use would be, but they are secksy @ 130\each or 4\$400.
