Wondering on horns can they just be mounted down under the dash and make sure they won't move and you're golden? I've always wondered about horns as I've had issues with vertical dispersion in my car.

they sure can. but beware, some under-dashes are quite shallow and have tons of crap in the way. make sure you take a look before you think of using horns.

I've got about 12-14" underneath my dash to the floor and about 11" of depth. The width is large too though. I'm wondering how many horn installs have you guys seen in SUV's?

but check your glovebox, i know mine is a PITA because its not on a hinge at the bottom, its like the whole face folds down.

im not sure what ill be doing about it (might chop a few huge sections out if it comes to it. but we will see.

IMO - an SUV would be a great candidate for horns. make sure there isnt any equipment or anything hanging down. i know my girlfriends jeep grand charokee has some sort of thing hanging down that would be a ***** to mod.

passenger side i know i'll have no issues as their's a s shelf below anything that could come into play. The diver's side just has the pedal's and a few wire's and a fuse box but shouldn't be too hard. Still thinking XXX's with horns would be tit's.

bah i saw this awesome install gallery in this one truck yday but i cant find it. had brax amps, eD flatcones glassed into the side cab windows, horns of course... maybe squeak will know.

Sounds like TruSound's truck from ECA. Only those weren't brax amps, those were Tru Tech Copper series.

Let me go try to find pics..........

Yup, here you go. His truck was actually a demo vehicle for Tru Technology's booth at CES 2004.

- black things under the dash are the horns

- Finished install with only mouth's of the horn exposed
