I'm Horny Again!

I never tried the Horns. I wouldn't mind looking into a set, but honestly that vid was the first time I have ever heard them and in the vid, it didn't sound good. Probably the camera as always.
Have fun with them.
horns dont sound crappy as they really dont distort the way regular speakers do (you pop a horn you KNOW it) some people will always sound "throaty" (i just say the people who say that just like tinty titanium tweets or over worked midrange )

This needs to be in this thread IMO:

MMM....CD-1 Pro's... Nice, very nice. I was wondering is the flange extending from the horn was mostly for mounting or it affected the dispersion. I have the CD2 comp. minihorns. Going to go a few shops to see about labor and install. As I mentioned earlier, I am screwed as far as doing the install myself.
nope. you can cut them as much as you want as long as it doesnt cut into the throat.

Here is a clip from ID on Horns:

Yeah these boogers are nice. I wish I did have the space under my dash for it. Even though I bought it from him a while ago, I didn't even get a chance to mount it until last month when I got zapco dc ref amp, to run it active.

I ran it for less than a month off my zapco, turning down the output as low as I can go without muting it and it still hurts my ears. In a good way though.

They didn't take much to tune at all, my amp only has a 10band eq but with TA though, even though I didn't even get to that part yet. I basically left the eq about flat. I bumped up the 15k hz + range a bit since I like very high highs....

Now I am running a set of Dayton RS28A, it cannot touch the output of the horns in anyway shape or form.

But yeah I have a scion tc, with the horns under the dash I foot kept on hitting the motor when ever I am on and off the clutch and it got annoying real fast.

Passenger side is mounted, was a piece of cake on that side. Currently I am trying to mount driver side, but its not as easy, there is nothing to mount to, so it will have to float a bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and HD only had the plastic plumbers strap so its too flexible.

here are pics of passenger and a small demo video.

dude! just by luck I forgot when I close my door it comes in, It cleared it perfect(not even a hair of space from door panel and horn lense!

The driver side is another story, Just problems after problems.

first it was a pita to mount driver side horn, it is not as stable as passenger side. this side is just floating hardly any solid support //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. and now when I power them up it sounds like my driver side is not as loud as passenger. I can put my ear next to the horn on the driver and on the other one my ears bleed when I do. I pray its just loose speaker wire.

to the OP great job you gave me a great idea . would this work if i cut into my dash and glass them in?
Yes. but horns should be down low and really they are suppose to be tucked as far back under dash as possible, but i am using the mini bodies so i brought them forward. The dispersion pattern is the wildest.

i gave up for today I got them mounted, start trouble shooting to tomorrow: here more pics
