well I don't know about the 8s but the 12s sound amazing one of my friends had 2 on a small 400 watt Jensen amp and they sound great. That deep bass lanzar is known for

If you're willing to go 89 on the AB go 134 and get an SA-8. Or even an Sundown E8. They're 89 bucks. Same as the American Bass. I've been looking at 8's for the wife's car. There's a lot of options. Don't go Lanzar though. You'll be sorry.... I think that would be a "get what you pay for" scenario.

Well, I wasnt sorry when I tried a pair of Lanzar Max Pro 10s on an old school Autotek Mean Machine 99, in a Hatch,93 Integra.They banged hard enough to make my eyes squint everytime the bass hit,DB meter in error @135..I recommend them to anyone on a budget.They were worth the money spent.I put in 1.6cu ft 3/4mdf ported boxes.

A well built box makes all the difference in the world. The 8w3 gets loud with decent enough sq the alpines will work well to. I would go with the ab 8 just based on reviews of there woofers on here and other sites but i research the sh?t out of everthing and dont buy til i am absolutely sure and then i am a frugal mf and dont want to pay anymore then absolutely neccessary. That being said i cannot overstate the importance of a well built "box" it will make all the difference from a satisfied smile to an ear to ear grin.

since I am cheap and on a super super tight budget / space area ...and dont want to shake the world, I decided that I am going to give the lanzar max 8's a try. at 29 shipped, i just went ahead and bought 2 for still much cheaper than the price of one from more reputable companies. If they dont match my expectations, then I am out very little money.

Inifinity Reference series are on sale at sonic electronix. Not sure how they do on mounting depth but the svc4 12 is only $54 shipped. They are excellent subs for the $. And they come in 8s too.
