I am not looking to spend a fortune and only have a mounting depth of close to 5" so I am looking at 8's and 10's that put out...but probably only 1 of them due to cabin space air volume. (truck behind seat)

with that said, I am just looking for something to replace a 150 rms old polk 10. Does anyone have anything to say on the Lanzar Max 8's ? 300w rms and mounting depth seems ok. For 35$ or so, how much could someone complain?

The other i am eyeing that is a little more is the American Bass XD 8. About 89$ shipped...big difference im price but im sure its worth it. I am not looking to spend much, so would something like the lanzar fit what I am looking for? not looking to shatter teeth, just feel a little in my body with my music. Any other recommended subs that would fit this description?

If you're willing to go 89 on the AB go 134 and get an SA-8. Or even an Sundown E8. They're 89 bucks. Same as the American Bass. I've been looking at 8's for the wife's car. There's a lot of options. Don't go Lanzar though. You'll be sorry.... I think that would be a "get what you pay for" scenario.

SA-8 isnt an option due to depth and size of the magnet.

the AB 8s are supposed to be pretty nice woofers. If it fits your requirements try it out!

Go to Ebay and put in 8" subwoofers. You'll get 100 pages of them. You're probably pretty safe with the AB for 89 bucks. Good company.... I just like to research things to death before I buy.

I do too...thats why I thought I would ask on here first. I would really like to do a 10 but for a ported enclosure I think i will be pushing it a little bit for anything that makes any power. I have been looking on ebay, just thought I would ask about 2 that are easily below 100$ and fit within spec.

Boston Acoustic makes little G1's in an 8" that sound pretty good. I had a couple in an older car of mine. Did very well with the little bit of power they were getting.

The lanzar prefer sealed and they are over rated if you went with them I'd do four sealed in 1.5cu off no more than 800w. I'd try this thoughTang Band W8-1747 8" Aluminum Cone Subwoofer 264-855

I'd also look into Dayton Audio on parts express as well as Peerless. Alpine Type R 8" sub is supposed to be pretty good too.

ive looked at it...200 watts just doesnt seem like very much for the price compared to others I have seen??

All sundowns stuff is very underrated, ide say since u gotta stay under 5in its going to be one of the best options you have
