I'm getting a used Red Nissan LEAF! 100% electric!

Ya me too, and the fact he has a dsp and passive crosovers
Going from passive EQ to full active EQ is THE NEXT STEP in the installation of Baby II's most excellent audio system! Had to get that infernal Alpine DSP thing to actually allow me to USE the d amn system first!

And I think when I buy that Nissan Leaf I'm gonna take it to JML and let them do their stuck up "consumer has no choice in the car audio systems we install because too many people are stupid" paradigm of stuck up car audio installers! See how good they can do for me!

John Kuthe...

Sounds like your best bet!
Now that I HAVE the MONEY they so desperately seek, I'm willing to give them a shot!

And maybe, just MAYBE, then they might be willing to do the hardware/wiring modifications and DSP tuning to make Baby II's car audio system to be FULL ACTIVE EQ and sound a LOT better too! :)

Smdfh are you dense or what! It's not full active EQ for god sakes!! You go from passive to active so quit calling it that no one calls it a full active or passive eq.

BS!! I KNOW exactly how to modify all the existing wiring and make Baby II's audio system full active EQ with the DSP! She just needs some different CUSTOM PURPLE RCA cables, wire up the two "extra" 12AWG speaker wires up to the front to separately amp the PHD midrange and tweeter drivers, then tune the DSP to full active EQ!

Well, JML IS supposed to be the best in St Louis (that I know of!)
John Kuthe...
good, you fit the stupid people criteria to a t. maybe while your there they can explain that full active crossovers is what you mean when your retarded mouth spouts full active eq.

Obviously your comprehension is **** bc you still don't understand or get what I am saying

Dont know why you need to go " Full Active EQ " sounds like according to you, you already have the best audio system ever put together ?

A fool and his money are soon parted.

the new big 3 is the active eq, the radiator fan for amp cooling, and blown speakers
I thought it was reprogramming DSP's because the user knows more than the audio company.

Full Active as opposed to half active ! LOL I never really understood the whole DSP and passive thing ?
Active and Passive are the same thing, just different orders in the chain. Passive is you amplifying all of the audio and sending it to the speaker, letting the crossover filter out what it needs to. Active is doing the processing before the amp which results in only amplifying the necessary audio.

Ok
Just answer this

Since you know that the electricity that will go into charging your Leaf comes from burning coal and gas, you also know that is not likely to change during your lifetime nor during the life expectancy of the Nissan, you also know that you will not save any money after the purchase of the Leaf, the charging station, the additional car insurance, and the additional maintenance costs, why are you buying it?
Not to mention recycling an electric car is actually more harmful to the environment that refining and burning petroleum.
