I'm Fuc.king Pissed

whats funny to me is she said until "after" the baby is born. Dude you better buy that shit and all the shit you ever wanted NOW because you wont be able to buy jack sh*t AFTER the baby is born. I know you think your saving up to buy all the crap the baby will need and maybe somewhere after that they'll be money for some leisure hahahaha. 1) if you have friends and family all you'll have all the clothes you'll ever need for a good while. IF you are close friends/family with anyone who's had a baby in the last 5yrs you wont need to buy a crib, rocker ect. We didn't have to buy any of that stuff. Had plenty of diampers too. Guess what you STILL CANT spend any money. Because diapers are $6-8 a pack, a can of formula is god **** $3-4 a can and they grow a new shoe size seems like every 3 months no matter what you think you have money for if you buy anything for the car and she notices your gonna learn via her your a selfish son of a ***** that doesn't think about his family. Nevermind that you've worked out a budget and can afford it!

But here's the real kicker. Your wife/girlfriend will take that money and spend it on a whole bunch of shit the kid doesn't need! Thats where your money will go. A room full of toys the kid picks up once and never picks up again (so she buys more). EVERYTIME she goes shopping she will buy a whole bunch of uneccessary shit because women want to buy their babies EVERYTHING! She will come back with more useless shit for an infant and buy so much clothes the baby will outgrow half the shit before every getting to wear it but GOD FORBID you spend $500 on the car you selfish muther****er! Every now and then you just have to buy some stuff and take the heat. thats what I do. Course it will never be like it was before. Kiss that $5000 paint job fantasy and $2000 coilovers goodbuy. Maaco basic and $400 shocks and springs for me...I mean you baby!

are you serious....you'd choose your hobby over something for you kid...and I'm not talking basics. I'm talking a little toy, that sure, they may only play with occationally, but dang...seeing my kids eyes light up with joy, is more than my pleasures.......

Clothes....yea, that's the joy of having kids...you buy, and they will outgrow...no way around it. But one day, hopefully you'll see the better joy, over personal ecstasies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Buddy you better save every ****ing penny for this kid and your family.

Think to the ****ing future not 15 minutes of joy when u hear yer subs for the first time.

Dunno how many times I just said **** it and spent my money. The last thing you expect to happen will happen all because you wanted a car stereo? its ****ing lame.

and if you think yer gf/wife and her family will take care of the kid yer a ****in loser.

Most of the system in my sig was bought around 1997-98 before I got married and when I had some extra cash.

So I've had most of the system for 7 YEARS, switched in and out of 3 different cars.

Only now that I've had a good stable job during that time and have my financial house in order am I getting back into the car audio hobby. It's an evil, expensive, and very addicting one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Yeah I have a little one and probably another one on the way within a couple years, but the wife and I are both savers and have built up our resources nicely to the point where I can splurge here and there now and then. Believe me, she does the same with her clothes, makeup, and shit.

As for the wife pissing and moaning...women like stability and pregnant ones tend to worry a lot. As long as you've got your shit together enough to take care of them and some extra (read: extra) cash to play around with...let her //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif It all depends on your attitude towards your fam and your financial situation. My wife doesn't complain toooooo much, because I don't spend too much to begin with, plus lately I'm earning extra $ by doing some work at night in addition to my day job.

eighty,

How much do you plan to spend on your car b4 the baby is born?

every penny you dont have for this kid has a negative affect on his or her life.

I hope for this kid's sake your loaded and your wife/gf is just whiney and if that is the case and you want her to shutup spend money for the kid.

What month of prego is she at?

No I wouldn't chose a hobby (certainly not car audio for sure) but you CAN raise children and manage to enjoy a few things yourself IF you and your spouse are on the same page. 1rst thing we did was take $5000 to our broker for a college benefit money management program that can only be used for college or for the childs benefit after 18 if he chooses not to go. Has 18yrs to grow. we buy him bonds once in a while, we have a little saved. We work hard everyday and get paid accordingly. There is no reason we cant still buy and do some of the things we like.

My boy is 2yrs old now and you know what makes him light up more than anything, when he walks out side and see's daddy's car. Points to it, says "car" and runs right too it with a full grin (okay maybe below and the fact he's seen skrek 8 million times in the back seat may have a little to do with it ). In this case its a win win situation. he loves it, I love it, the wife loves it cause the boy can go on 6hr trips with no problem. Its not going to keep him from going to college or a day at chucky cheese so why not?

my girl dosnt like me to spend money. so i do stuff on the side to pay for it.
since i already got all my stuff- i dont need to spend any more money... she dosnt care about me doing stuff to the car. as long as its not cosing me anything (accessories like resin\fg\screws dont count - because she dosnt realize they cost $ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

i also sell my old equip to buy new equip. its a good way to say "i didnt spend anything, i traded it"
X 2 100%

I get teased a lot by my friends, and family, about how many times in a month I'm going to "re-do" the install. In all reality, I spend about $10.00 a month...IF... you break it all down to a monthly budget.

Is that your GMC in your sig? If so whats your secret to only spending aorund $10 a month ( unless you dont get out that much )

I would like to thank 80 and some other people as well.

Note to self : Dont have kids

I'm sorry for ya.. I feel bad.. if your not ready to have a kid.. but like everyone says you made it now take care of it...

I'm lucky.. I'm almost 26 and half the kids I went to school with are either married, divorced, or neither and have kids.. I'm so glad I moved away asap.. although I can't wait till I get back for the 10year reunion and see what everyone has done with their lives... hopefully mine will be halfway decent....(might be manager of a store by the end of the month) (crosses fingers)

its amazing about how people b!tch about not being able to install car audio when they have the most important thing in their life coming around the corner

Well i've read all of u guys responses and most of them where very good others were ...lets say sarcastic(understatement)

i really appreciate the POSITIVE feedback.....

but the funny thing is......no one knows my financial situation.....i can see if i was some 24yr old making 10dollars an hour..but i'm not..i make way more than that...so my money is long..i got just about everything at my baby shower....i got a crib, 800diapers, about a 1500 babywipes, 60 outfits ...5pairs of shoes, 2pairs of sneakers, a highchair, a walker, .and some other little stuff...like baby bottles and the thing that gets the boogers out the nose, and toothbrush..all kinds of stuff....and my aunt just called and told me she spent 700dollars buying somemore stuff 2day...so it looks like i'm okay 4 the time being..as far as when my kid get sick....i have health ins and my wife does 2.....basicly our household is good....me and my wife can say we live comfortable
