illumination not working

well i finnaly got my boxes done for my hifonics atlases (pics later) and i decided that this time id wire up the illumination on the dust caps...so i ran the wires in parallel with a neon i hav under my dash...and of course ther not working...the neon under the dash still lights up but the subs dont...and my multimeter broke so i cant chekc with that...any guesses on what i mighta done wrong

and please dont turn this into a thread about how gay neons are or how dumb my subs are...reallyj ust looking for help here
