Ike has their own in store electronics repair shop they tend to lie and say thigns are factory refurbed when in in fact it was done by them seen this quite a few times. Honestly I wouldnt trust them but thats me.

That is one thing I was wondering, if they did their own repair. The Directed 1100d that is for $99 says it is refurbished. They also have a Viper d1200.1 for $125, but that one states it is factory frefurbished. I have bought from them a long time ago and never had a problem, but the item was new. I might chance it on getting the viper d1200.1 amp for that price.

Yeah they are in S. Florida. I think they are in Holindale or something but they got a 954 (broawrd) area code. Mapquest their address to see exactly where it is. Im thinking about buying some Xenon 6.5 form them since they are less than 100 bucks. cant really beat that.

Well when I bought my Viper d1200 a while back it came in a box with the Directed address on it and it had a seal with a bar code on it saying it was factory refurbished from Directed. The seal had the an official Viper factory refurbished logo on it so I don't think Ike refurb that amp unless they make fake Viper factory refurbished logos and bar codes.

so it would prolly have to state that it was refurbished if it was rite?Cuz i really wanna buy a new amp, but i dont really trust the whole refurb thing tough. thanks for all your input.

Yeah, it will be marked as a refurb on the site,

I pretty much refuse to buy anything from IkeSound. It's almost as if they don't WANT my business.

Yes, they do repair in-store. All the stuff on their site that's "factory refurbished" isn't. You've been warned.

When you do inquire about a refurbished item (usually an amp), some lady will call you and inform you that the item is "not in stock" when in fact, in stock according to their site. Reason? They 1) haven't got the amp yet and need time to repair it or 2) are repairing it at the time of communication.

Translation: prepare to hold your breath. I called on a Monday, asking about a refurbed PCX1500. Call returned on Tuesday telling me "we'll have it by Friday." I call next Monday asking again for availability. Call returned on Tuesday telling me "we'll have it by Friday." Called again... See where this was going?

Ultimately, I simply asked if they ever had the amp, and the answer was simply "No."

Pretty shady business if you ask me.

Yeah I called yesterday about my Orion 1200d and she mumbled something to the effect of "out of stock". I told her I was on a tight schedule and she said she would call me back when they were in stock. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Needless to say I have not received a a callback, i'm pretty sure it was just an attempt to buy more time on their part. The lady sounds as if she has the education of an 8 year old. I'm just trying to get my Orion and will probably never buy again from Ikesound.

Amazing that a company like this can stay in business.

well i bought 3 directed amps and we'll see ... i shall call them today as i have not heard from them and if they go bad there's chargeback options //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
