I don't know anyone that lives there but I has servers in Houston //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

With it being a Cat 2 does that not mean it's kind of weak?

Its only a cat2 at the moment, but the storm surge is huge. they're saying anywhere from 10-22ft.

Assuming your servers are in a good DC, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

last i checked it was weakening. The surface winds were at around 89-93 mph with very warm water temps...I dont think its going to be as bad as everyone is making it drawn out to be. my $0.02

Yeah I am not worried about a Cat 2 these guys deal with them pretty well and are pretty good as far as being prepared. However if it were to get to a Cat 5 or so I would be a bit more worried.

From what I understand Houston is about 60 miles inland so people in that area should not have as much of a problem as those right on the coast.

Either way everyone on the coast be safe and evacuate if they are telling you to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Late last night they were saying that Galveston would more than likely be flooded by 22 feet of water.

Here in Dallas people are prepairing for 50 mph winds and 5-8" rain (this will cause flooding and power outages) 300 miles away.

700 mile diameter isnt anything to joke about, better to be safe than dead.
