best bet is to start probing the fuse box with a DMM and find one that is a 0 volts with no key, 12v with the ign on.

any suggestions on which fuses are normally 0 with out key and 12 with key

or you could just get ACC from the orange wire on the ignition harness or if you need a true ignition use the pink wire

please explain to me true ignition. if it is switched power obviously it is on ign 1 or 2 no matter where you pull it from.

your ignition harness has a pink wire that is true ignition (12v when the key is in the run position)

the orange wire is ACC (12v when the key is in the accesory position in gm cars remaining active until the drivers door is open with the key out)

what exactly are you trying to do?

im wondering whats a true ignition becuz i thought any power that went thru the car when the key is turned would be ignition.. but to save time could u tell me what shall i do to wire it 2 fuse box

often times you hear acc (accessory) spoken of as ignition when it is really not so i say true ignition to mean ignition and not acc

im tryin 2 put in this hu. but the car has the lil chip and i had neva encounted that in my life. so i just wanna get the hu installed

in that case you are going to want acc instead of ignition
